About Public Pools
A Public or Commercial pool is defined as a pool used by the public, which includes Municipal, School and Club pools.
International standards such as FINA standards are mandatory and includes rules regarding facilities, equipment, design, chemistry and Health and Safety standards.
Only a few companies in South Africa has the expertise, construction equipment and trained personnel to build Public Pools as the standards are extremely high (A tolerance of only 3cm is allowed over a 50m distance) . Public Pools must be designed to accommodate up to 2 500 tonnes of weight with a filter turn-around of every 4 hours.
